Howard Victor "Vic" Moore

October 22, 1948 - October 19, 2023

Howard Victor Moore II “Victor,” of Austin, Texas, son of Howard Victor Moore and Marjorie Dolores Moore, was born on October 22, 1948 in Kingsville, TX. Victor went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 19th, at the age of 74, surrounded with love by his family.

Victor graduated from John H. Reagan High School and furthered his education at Texas A&M University, where he had the honor of joining the Corp of Cadets while studying Construction Engineering. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve, and soon after graduating met the love of his life, Martha. They embraced a 45-year marriage and were blessed with 4 children and 5 grandchildren.

Victor was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas, where he volunteered his time, and served in various committees within the church. Victor enjoyed planning events for the members, one example being a pancake supper. He would be found in the kitchen whistling, flipping pancakes, and having a great time.

Victor served the Community by volunteering his time coaching and umpiring youth baseball, mentoring youth, and serving as the President of The University Hill Optimist Club. Victor often coached his children’s baseball teams, and enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s events to cheer them on!

To all that knew Victor, knows he loved sports of all kinds. He would schedule his life around his wife, children, grandchildren and his love for the Aggies, Dallas Cowboys, and Houston Astros. You could always find him cheering for his favorite team.

Victor enjoyed going on cruises and traveling to Branson, Missouri where he showed his love and appreciation for musicals, and spending time with the love of his life, Martha.

Victor will be greeted in heaven by his wife, Martha, his little sister Marjorie, and caring parents Howard and Dolores.

Victor is survived by his children, Mary Moore (Anthony Vernon) of Austin, TX, Victoria Barrios of Round Rock, TX, Christopher Moore of Austin, TX, and Andrew (Camille) Moore of Round Rock, TX; Grandchildren: Victor “Alex”, Mariska, Jayden, Jacob and Lilli of Round Rock, TX; Brothers, Alan Moore of Conroe, TX and Paul (Karen) Moore of The Woodlands, TX; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

His life will be celebrated at Hope Lutheran Church, Wednesday, October 25th, at 2 pm.
