Warren Dale Ellison, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away September 24, 2023 at the age of 72 in Longview, Texas. A service celebrating his life will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, October 7 at First Christian Church of Longview.

Dale had a fulfilling life that was marked by love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. He was born and raised on the "Running E Ranch" in Premont, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University.

In 1975, he married the love of his life, Susan, and they celebrated 48 remarkable years of marriage. Together, they raised their two sons, Brad and Drew, and greatly enjoyed spending time with them and their grandkids.

Dale enjoyed a successful 36 year career with Duo-Fast/Southern Fastening where he traveled across East Texas. Beyond being active with his work and family, Dale engaged in a number of pursuits throughout his life. First among them was enjoying the beautiful outdoors by RV camping with his wife, friends and family. Additionally, he put his faith into action through his service to First Christian Church and Longview Community Ministries. In years past, Dale was an avid golfer, hunter, dog-walker, beach-lover and enjoyed any activity with his grandchildren.

Dale is survived by his wife, Susan, along with his sons and daughters-in-law Brad and Rosemarie Ellison and Drew and Chelsea Ellison. As a playful and fun-loving Poppy, he will be greatly missed by his eight grandchildren: Abigail, Benjamin, Noah, Declan, Juniper, Laney, Lili and Lena. He is also survived by siblings Fern, Lydia and John along with his Braden in-law family, and multiple nieces, nephews and other family members across Texas and the country.

Susan and the family would like to thank all of Dale's doctors, nurses, caregivers and friends who provided amazing care, love and support during his battle with pancreatic cancer this past year.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to support Longview Community Ministries or First Christian Church in his memory. Cremation arrangements through East Texas Funeral Home.
