Louis Sabayrac, Jr.
November 18, 1943 - October 2, 2023
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our father, Louis Sabayrac. Our family is forever grateful for your continued support and prayers.
Louis Sabayrac, Aggie, accomplished hunter/gatherer, and lover of God and family, died peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2023 after a brief illness.
Louis (Butch) Sabayrac was a family man through and through. He loved his father, Louis, and mother, Mary Alice who proceed him in death. He was the best big brother to his younger siblings, Ricky and Mary Anne, and held a special place in his heart for his many nieces and nephews.
In 1966 Louis graduated from Texas A&M University and married the love of his life, Nelwyn. He took great pride in the many accomplishments of his three daughters, Jill (deceased), Anna and Katy. He passed on his Christian faith and taught us how to flip a pancake, to throw a baseball, to mow the lawn, and to just be thankful. He loved his grandchildren, Brian, Louie, Ivy (deceased), Alex, Owen and Nelwyn. He was always around to offer all of us his sage advice (asked for or not).
He excelled at growing roses and azaleas, training bird dogs, and cheering on the fightn’ Texas Aggies who never lost even if they were frequently out scored. He loved to hunt quail in the Hill Country and dove in the Valley. Dad was one of a kind who became friends with everyone he met and took pride in always helping out his friends.
Services will be held on Monday, October 9, at Forest Park Lawndale in the Chapel of the Angels.
