Joe Michael Hogue

December 12, 1951 - August 21, 2023

Joe Michael Hogue was born to Phillip and Doris Hogue in Houston Texas on December 12, 1951. He moved to Montgomery County where he attended Montgomery High School and would later raise his family.

He attended Texas A&M University where he was a walk-on to the 1971 football team. He graduated from Texas A&M in 1974. He continued to carry the Aggie spirit and remained an avid fan of Aggie football, following the newest high school prospects across Texas and enjoying every game he had a chance to watch.

He married Gay Nell (Vick) Hogue in 1975. Together they traveled the United States and abroad as Joe worked in contracting. Later, he joined the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDC) where he worked in the K9 and equine units.

Joe coached his sons Joseph Matthew Hogue and Ryan Casey Hogue from Dixie League to college baseball, sharing his love of the game. He helped raise granddaughter Alexandra Kaitlyn Hogue, imparting his knowledge of livestock, land, and Texas A&M. He raised his family with an example of hard work and ingenuity.

His life was also shared with sister Joanne Hogue and daughter-in-law Hailey Hogue.
