Damion Eric Johnson 
December 6, 1976 - August 30, 2023 

Eric Johnson, 46, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023. He was born December 6, 1976, in Plano, TX to Robert Lee and Dianne (Redmon) Johnson Sr.

He married Mindi Rae Storey on November 30, 2002, in Frisco, TX. He was a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, class of ’99. He owned Johnson Turf Inc. and loved the family business he built with his wife, Mindi, mother-in-law, Sheila Storey, father-in-law, Will Parmer, and so many great employees.

Eric was a member at Midway Church and a proud Legacy Christian Eagle dad! He and Mindi could be found near whatever ballgame, stock show, or their activities the girls and their friends were participating in. Eric was a club softball coach for the last 15 years. He loved helping young people achieve their dreams and spent his time serving others while coaching. Eric also served as president and held other offices on the Pilot Point Booster Club, the Pilot Point Friends and Family Organization and the PTO. When he wasn’t coaching in his spare time, he spent hours in the barn helping kids with their show animals and hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his family. Eric was an entertainer and loved making others laugh. He always had a joke or witty comment and never met a stranger.

Eric is survived by his wife, Mindi of Pilot Point, TX; daughters, Ronnie Hope and Elliott Grace Johnson of Pilot Point, TX; mother, Dianne Johnson of Frisco, TX; brother, Bobby Johnson Jr. and wife, Misti of Frisco, TX; niece, Hannah Beam and husband, Nathan, of Ft. Worth, TX; nephew, Hunter Johnson of Frisco, TX; in laws, Sheila Storey and Will Parmer; a multitude of family, friends, and friends that were family.

He is preceded by his father, Robert Lee Johnson Sr.; brother, Jonathan D. Johnson; dear friend and brother-in-law, Elliott Storey; and father-in-law Ronnie Storey.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023, 6:30PM to 8:30PM at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX. Service will be held Sunday, September 3, 2023, at 3:00PM at Frisco First Baptist Church 7901 Main Street, Frisco, TX with John Theison officiating. Interment is Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 10:30AM at English Community Cemetery in Clarksville, TX.

Pallbearers are Tanner Spears, Brett Coe, Daryl Hellman, Cleve Rasor, Clay Thomas, Quincy West, John Hartley, Cesar Saldivar, Tracey Cox, Barrett Owens, Matt Wittram, Chris Pomeroy, and Patrick Parmer.
