Lisa Ann Rikard Roll
November 5, 1956 - June 5, 2023

Lisa Ann Rikard Roll, 66, passed away peacefully at home with her family on the morning of June 5, 2023, in Boerne, Texas. A memorial service will be held in her honor on August 19, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Boerne.

Lisa was born on November 5, 1956 in El Paso, Texas to parents Donald and Maxine (Fulton) Rikard. She was raised in Lake Jackson, Texas and graduated from Brazoswood High School in 1975. She subsequently graduated in 1978 from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in business.

She was employed by The Dow Chemical Company from 1978 through 1984 in both Freeport, Texas and Midland, Michigan until she started her family.

She loved to cook, read, create watercolor paintings and pencil art, and exercise. She also enjoyed music, playing piano, dancing, singing, and traveling.

She was active in the Methodist Church, most notably in the tutoring of children and other volunteer positions. Through her experience with adoption that included herself, her older brother Bob, and her first daughter Lauren, she and her husband were active in supporting a Christian-based foster care and adoption program, 1HopeforKids, serving the local San Antonio and South Texas region.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Mark W. Roll; and her three children Lauren Lordman, Katherine Vorontsov, and Caroline Roll; her mother-in-law, Nancy Roll; two brothers, Robert (Bob) Rikard and Mark Rikard; three sisters-in-law, Cynthia Rikard, Terri Rikard, and Jan Roll; and two sons-in-law, Tolya Vorontsov and Tony Lordman. Additionally, she is survived by her seven grandchildren, Jaeda, Kaileigh, Tony Jr., Zoia, Elizabeth, Elijah and Dasha.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Maxine Rikard, along with her father-in-law, Edward Roll.

Lisa was a very caring and lovely Christian woman who was described as a bright light, admired and loved by her many friends. She was deeply committed to her family, children, and grandchildren who were the joy of her life. She loved animals, especially her cat, and her birds that she loved to feed every day.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the First United Methodist Church Boerne, the community of Cordillera Ranch, and her close neighbor friends from Cypress, Texas.

Instead of floral remembrances, the family would like to suggest donations to 1HopeforKids in honor of Lisa’s memory.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the staff of Holt & Holt Funeral Home of Boerne. To share words of comfort with the family, please visit www.holtfh.com
