James D. "Jim" Debbrecht 

October 27, 1930 - July 12, 2023 

James “Jim” Debbrecht, 92, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away on July 12, 2023. He was born on October 27, 1930, in Wichita, Kansas to Fred and Marjorie Debbrecht.

Preceding graduation from Price College in Amarillo, Jim joined the Air Force and later graduated from the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas Class of ’59 (Texas A&M University).

After having lived in Alabama, Florida, and Kanas, Jim and Pat made their home in Friendswood, Texas where they attended Mary Queen Catholic Church.

Jim is survived by his five children: Robert Debbrecht and wife, Karen, of Houston; Daniel Debbrecht of Friendswood, Gerald Debbrecht and wife, Cindy, of LaPorte; Sally (Debbrecht) Williams of Webster, and Sue (Debbrecht) Bingham and husband, Darren, of League City; six grandchildren, Cassie Guzman, Rick Debbrecht, Debbie Woodruff, Becky Debbrecht, Corey Bingham and Sarah Bingham; and eight great grandchildren, Kayla, William, Christine, Stella, Servetta, Ava, Adam and James. Jim was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, daughter Joan, parents Fred and Marjorie, sister Jane Nowalk, and brother Fred Debbrecht.

On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, Jim’s family will greet guests from 9:30 am to 10:30 am followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30am at Mary Queen Catholic Church, 606 Cedarwood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Dickinson, TX.
