Jesse D. Santoscoy 
March 5, 1935 ~ July 26, 2023 

Mr. Jesse D. Santoscoy, 88, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Atrium Steel Creek, Charlotte, NC.

He was born March 5, 1935, in San Antonio, TX, to the late Genaro Santoscoy and Irene Davila Santoscoy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Cecilia Mota Santoscoy; his daughter, Irene Santoscoy, Charlotte, NC; his sons, Mark Santoscoy (partner, Todd Taylor), Dallas, TX, Cliff Santoscoy, Mesquite, TX, and Troy Santoscoy (Jennifer), Florence, SC; his brother Jerry Santoscoy, Dallas, TX; his sister Mary Reyna, Austin, TX; brother, Louis Santoscoy, Irving, TX; and his seven grandchildren, Samuel Santoscoy, Rachel Santoscoy, Hunter Santoscoy, Jessica Santoyo, Ryan Nelson, Maddie Nelson and Lauren Nelson.

Jesse was a proud Aggie, graduating from Texas A&M University. While at Texas A&M he served in the Corps of Cadets. Jesse loved kids and taught in the Texas school system for over 30 years until his retirement. He was a wonderful soccer coach for youth teams as well as Skyline High School in Dallas, TX.

He was a lover of nature especially having a vegetable garden and growing trees. Pecan trees were his passion. He was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus and faithful follower of the Lord and member of the Catholic Church.

Friends and family will be welcomed for a visitation starting at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 6, 2023, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m., at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Highway, Lake Wylie, SC. A Graveside service, with military honors, will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens 1774 Filbert Hwy, York, SC, following the service.
