Stanley Joseph "Stan" Whitfill 

April 1, 1957 - June 30, 2023 

Stanley Joseph “Stan” Whitfill, of Houston, passed away on Friday, the 30th of June 2023, fulfilling a bucket list trip to Turks and Caicos. Stan enjoyed every ray of sunshine, and finally found peace after a long battle with cancer.

Stan was a graduate of Texas A&M University, class of 1981, and loved everything Texas Aggie. He was a golfer and played courses all over the world, golf was his passion.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Veva Whitfill and his brother, Bob Whitfill.

Stan is survived by his wife, Valerie Holladay; the pup pack, Teddy, Dolly, Cleo, and newest member, Maximo; sister, Barbara Jean Byington; nephew, Michael Byington; and many close friends.

In fulfilling his wishes, a country club casual service will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 26th of July in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the adjacent grand foyer.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be directed in his name to St. Mary’s Chapel located at 1714 Rice Blvd., Houston, TX 77005.
