Craig R. Comer
August 7, 1964 - June 16, 2023
On Friday, June 16, 2023, Craig R. Comer, a loving father, husband, and proud Aggie passed away at the age of 58.
He was born to Raymond and Zelda (Mitchell) Comer. Craig graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree. After college Craig wore many hats, from being a real estate agent, to tending cattle, to driving the highways as a trucker. Then Craig began a tenured career at ExxonMobil in 1992, where he eventually became a Safety Coordinator for the Houston region. Craig met his wife and soulmate, Mary, in 1992. Craig and Mary had been married for almost 30 years.
Craig was a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of ’87. He loved watching the Aggies play football and shared that with his family. Craig loved the outdoors and had a grand sense of adventure. He took his family on many road trips and camping adventures to the Texas Hill Country and West Texas.
Craig was diagnosed with ALS in 2019, but he did not let the terminal illness slow him down. Craig became an ALS advocate and participated in studies to advance medical knowledge around the causes and treatment of ALS.
Craig had a strong faith in the Lord that only became stronger during his fight with ALS.
