Lupe Barron
December 12, 1948 — May 16, 2023
Lupe Barron, 74, of Bryan, passed away May 16, 2023.
Lupe was born in Missouri on December 12, 1948 to Thomas and Sabina Escobeda Barron. He grew up working with his dad; they picked cotton and cut wood.
After moving to Bryan, his mother encouraged his education, and he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management at Texas A&M University in 1972. He was a huge Aggie fan and held season tickets for several decades.
Lupe was a selfless, caring, kind, and generous man whose main focus was his family. He lived with and cared for his mother, dad, and brother until their passing's.
He worked in mail distribution for the U.S. Postal Service for over 35 years. After he retired, he did exactly what he wanted to do - a whole lot of nothing! He enjoyed being at home and went out to eat almost every day so he didn't have to cook.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Jesse Barron Sr., Paul Barron, Virginia Martinez, Jannie Hernandez, and Mary Demetria Garcia.
Lupe is survived by several nieces, nephews, other family, and close friends.
The family would like to thank the hospice team, and to acknowledge one of his nephews, John Martinez, who lived with and cared for Lupe over the past several years. John would like to acknowledge Lupe's brother-in-law Ines Martinez, his wife Juliana, and daughter Becky for the exceptional care given to Lupe during his last days at home.
