Michael Duane Vader 
August 19, 1952 - May 26, 2023 

Michael Duane Vader, 70 of College Station, TX went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in College Station. He was born to Melvin Vader and Marjorie (Schultze) Vader on August 19, 1952, in Seguin, TX.

Michael graduated from Marion High School in Marion, TX in 1970. He then attended Blinn College and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education. He received a Masters of Agricultural Education in 1986 from Texas A&M University. Michael was the Bremond Middle School principal from 1996-2000.

He married Denise Drymalla on May 20, 1973 in Wallis, TX at Guardian Angel Catholic Church. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, teaching, traveling, and The Aggies. But most of all he adored his family and spending precious time with his grandchildren.

Michael lived in College Station area for the past 9 years, previously living in Brenham (2003-2014), Reagan (1981-2003), and Bremond (1979-1981). He was of the Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents; Alfred & Lena Vader and Willie H. & Augusta Schultze, sister-in-law & brother-in-law; Eileen & Vencil Prazak.

Michael is survived by his wife of 50 years, Denice Vader of College Station; sons, Kevin Vader (Melissa) of Cypress, TX; Clayton Vader (Amy) of Green Bay, WI; Curtis Vader (Shayna) of Magnolia, TX; sister, Marla Cockerham (Skip) of St. Hedwig; brother Morris Vader (Shareen) of New Berlin; and 3 grandchildren, Logan, Jonathan, and Olivia Vader.  

A visitation is set for Friday, June 2, 2023, at Bremond Memorial Funeral Home: 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, the family will be present from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm officiated by Father Celso Yu. Mass will be recited Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 1:00 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bremond, with Father Celso Yu officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Chris Prazak, Paul Prazak, Jason Drymalla, Jeffrey Drymalla, Carson Brandenberger and Joel Ortega.

Honorary Pallbearers: Logan Vader, Jonathan Vader and Olivia Vader.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in the Memory of Michael Vader to Leach Teaching Gardens @ Texas A&M University in College Station or Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Bremond, Texas.
