Mary Ann (Budzinski) Roach

Mary Ann Roach, 79, of Bryan, Texas passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023.
MaryAnn was born on May 28, 1943 in South Bend, Indiana to Al and Loretta Budzinski.
She had an infectious smile and a vibrant zest for life. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Early in her career, MaryAnn worked as a registered nurse. She earned a degree in economics from Texas A&M University and also was a behavioral health nurse administrator at Greenleaf Hospital for many years. Then she was a home health nurse for St. Joseph’s.
MaryAnn was a member of St. Joseph parish. She is a former president of the Brazos Unit of the American Cancer Society, a Cub Scout den mother, was on championship bowling teams, and played bridge at the Brazos County Senior Citizens Association. She enjoyed dancing the Polka and loved listening to Elvis and Gospel music. She loved traveling with her husband globally and also enjoyed their place in Galveston, TX.
She was preceded in death by her brother, John Budzinski.
She was married for 58 years to her loving husband, Dr. Arthur J. Roach Jr., who survives her. Other survivors include her brother, Tom and wife Fran Budzinski; 3 children, Arthur J Roach III and wife Carol of College Station TX, Katherine Mondragon and husband Antonio, of Bryan TX, and Kevin Roach and wife Jill, of Germantown, MD; 7 grandchildren, Alexis Roach, Alyssa Roach, Hannah Roach, Jeffrey Roach, Robbie Mondragon, Katherine Osburn, and Josh Baker; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Mary Ann has faced many medical problems with great courage and tenacity. Her strength and perseverance were beyond measure. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society at www.donate3.cancer.org
