Guide to Aggie events in Dallas-Fort Worth this weekend

Thousands of Aggies will gather in the DFW Metroplex for Texas A&M's Yell Practice on Friday night, the Corps of Cadets march on Saturday morning, the All-Aggie Tailgate and other events this weekend.

Here's your guide to all the get-togethers!

Friday, Sept. 23

1-2 p.m.

Association partner T-Mobile and Texas A&M invite you to a Studio 12 Podcast live taping featuring “voice of the Aggies” announcer Andrew Monaco and legendary A&M linebacker Dat Nguyen ’98, with chances to win prizes including tickets to the game, at T-Mobile Experience Store, 1465 Main St., Southlake.

5 p.m.-midnight

The Fort Worth A&M Club hosts an annual Cowtown Kickoff family-friendly event - this year, it's part of the three-day Agtoberfest event in the Stockyards. Live band, tailgate games, food and drink (adults $15, children 12 and under free), at Horus Hall, 208 NW 24th St., Fort Worth.

10 p.m.

Join the crowd for Yell Practice with the Texas A&M yell leaders, organized by The Association of Former Students, at the East Exchange Steps in the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Saturday, Sept. 24

9 a.m.

Corps of Cadets march through downtown Fort Worth. Details and route map:

2:30-5:30 p.m.

All-Aggie Tailgate at J. Gilligan's Bar & Grill, organized by The Association of Former Students: Food, drinks and Aggie camaraderie with an indoors location and a discounted shuttle to the game available. Tickets $8-$12.

6 p.m.

Kickoff of Southwest Classic, Texas A&M vs. Arkansas, AT&T Stadium, Arlington

Sunday, Sept. 25

2 p.m.

Fourth Sunday Brew Crew is a monthly Aggie get-together (kid-friendly and dog-friendly) hosted by the Fort Worth, Northeast Tarrant and Dallas A&M Clubs. This month, it's at Fort Brewery & Pizza, 2737 Tillar St., Fort Worth.
