August 11, 1964 - April 04, 2021

Charles Allen “Chuck” Zinsmeyer, 56, of D’Hanis passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021.

Born August 11, 1964, in Hondo, he was the son of Jacob Lionel “Jack” and Jeanice Poerner Zinsmeyer.

Having graduated D’Hanis High School in 1982, Chuck was a proud 1986 graduate of Texas A&M University. He worked as an estimator and project manager in civil construction for 30-plus years. He was very proud of his work and always eager to talk about it.

A devout Catholic, he loved his ACTS community, cherished his time on retreat, and was a proud CYO sponsor.

Chuck was a loving father to his children and “Pappy” to his granddaughter. For friends and the community, Chuck was always enthusiastic to cook for any size crowd, and his red dog, fideo and brisket were usually on the menu.

He is preceded in death by his father and his sister, Bette Fasano.

Visitation at Holy Cross Catholic Church will be Thursday, April 8, at 1:00 p.m., followed by Rosary at 1:30 and Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, D’Hanis.
