July 6, 1943 - February 22, 2021

Harry Benjamin Drollinger 77, of Fairview, Texas died February 22, 2021 in McKinney, Texas.

He was born July 6, 1943 to Clarence Drollinger and Dorothy Phillips in Indianapolis, Indiana. He married Gayla Chambers on June 25, 1966 in Dallas, Texas. He married the girl next door. He spent his entire career in the study of computers and computational systems. He was a graduate of Texas A&M, Masonic Lodge Fallbrook, California.

He served in the Marine Corp from 1966-1969 as a First Lieutenant. Ben was a proud American Patriot who served with the 1st battalion 5th Marine Regiment during the Vietnam war. He was a recipient of the Silver Star for Conspicuous Bravery.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gayla Drollinger of Fairview, Texas. His Daughters, Daniele Clark '94 (Jeff) of Millsap, Texas and Dayna Drollinger of Weatherford, Texas. Sister Etta Humphries (Don '65). He leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom he loved like his own children. Known as their Pawpa, He was also survived by two beloved granddaughters Cayden and Charley Clark.

He was preceded in death by his Father Clarence Drollinger, Mother Dorothy Drollinger and Brother John Drollinger.

Ben was a world traveler and enjoyed showing his family the world. He collected artwork and shared vegetables from his garden. Following the activities of his children and granddaughters was his greatest joy. Contributions in Ben's name can be made to the Sgt. Rodney M.
