Thank you for joining The Association of Former Students every Monday in October for Music Mondays, a virtual concert series featuring Aggie musicians! We hoped you enjoyed each Aggie's performance from the comfort of your own home!
The fourth and final installment aired Monday, Oct. 26, and featured a performance by the Brandon McDermott Band, which is made up of Aggies Brandon McDermott '01 (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Brent Topa '07 (drums), and honorary Aggies Rob Koonce (lead guitar) and Donnie Brooks (bass). Other performers featured in the series were Mike Ethan Messick '98, Colby Keeling '13 and Cole Whittlesey '19, and Taylor Tumlinson '16. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic forced us all to adjust to a “new normal” in our lives. Our homes transformed into offices, schools, restaurants, gyms, and event concert venues. Many of the events we’d usually attend in person came to life in the virtual space. The Association of Former Students, for example, marked many occasions virtually, including the May All-Aggie Grad Party with a concert featuring the music of over a dozen Aggie artists that premiered on our Aggie Network Facebook page.
The success of the event spurred a new series that brought more music into the homes of Aggies: Music Mondays. The four-part series featured music from Aggie musicians from their homes to yours. New episodes premiered every Monday in October. You can rewatch each Music Mondays episode on our Facebook page or by clicking the links below.
