Daniel Patrick Woulfe
March 25, 1967 - August 30, 2020

Daniel Patrick Woulfe, beloved husband, father, brother, son, and friend was called home, to rest in paradise, on August 30, 2020, at the age of 53. Dan fought a courageous four year battle with the monster that is Multiple Myeloma. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love, with his wife and family by his side. He wasn’t in pain, he wasn’t afraid, he remained faithful to his last breath.

Dan was born March 25, 1967, to Patrick and Mary Lou Woulfe in Havana, Illinois. He graduated from Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets and Fish Drill Team Senior Advisor. He proudly served his country through deployment in Desert Storm as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps. He met Laura Botello at MBNA and they were married on March 26, 2005, in Plano, Texas. Dan was a servant leader who found just the right touch to encourage others to push themselves further than they knew they could go.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Woulfe; son, Johnathan Woulfe; daughter, Monica Ibarra; grandson, Isaac Mercado; mothers, Mary Lou Woulfe and husband, Larry Pickett and Kay Woulfe; sister, Carole Elwell; brother, David Woulfe and wife, Allison; nephews, Chase Elwell, Chance Elwell, William Woulfe; niece, Samantha Woulfe; Marine Corps brother, Michael Stambaugh; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family whom he loved dearly.

Dan was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Woulfe,; uncle, John Woulfe and aunts, Kathy Major and Mary Jo Shanahan.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. C.D.T. at Saint Andrew United Methodist Church, 5801 W. Plano Pkwy, Plano, TX 75093.

In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe memorial scholarship fund has been created to honor Dan’s wishes of continued higher education for Johnathan (

The family has also requested written stories or memories of Dan that Johnathan will cherish as he matures into adulthood.
