Felipa (Molina) Lorenzen, 84, of Cat Spring went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 12, 2019.
She passed away peacefully with her loving niece, Ilse, by her side at her home in Cat Spring, Texas.
Felipa was born in Sugar Land, Texas on February 5, 1935, to parents: Agustin and Benita (Mendez) Molina.
Felipa attended the Benedictine College in Kansas where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. She then went on to earn her Master of Arts in Bicultural-Bilingual Studies at the
University of Texas - San Antonio. She also earned a National Certification as a water-aerobics instructor.
While attending classes at Texas A&M University in College Station, she met the love of her life, Robert William Lorenzen. On December 21, 1973 they were joined in Holy Matrimony in Houston, Texas at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Bob worked for the United
Nations and together they traveled the world and shared many adventures. Felipa would teach English as a second language in countries where Bob was working including Indonesia, Egypt, and Zambia Africa, to name a few. Bob and Felipa eventually retired and
settled down in Katy, Texas where Felipa taught water-aerobics at the Senior Center.
When Bob passed away in 2014, Felipa spent more time in Cat Spring with her niece, Ilse. She had a love for the country life and found it to be a good place to settle down with her fur babies, Chiquita and Bear. Felipa loved gardening, doing jigsaw puzzles,
teaching water-aerobics and spending quality time with her family. She also enjoyed trips to Louisiana with her sister and niece.
She is survived by her loving niece, Ilse Schackmann, who was like a daughter to her; Brothers: Paul Molina and wife, America of Houston; Agustin Molina, Jr. and wife, Christine of Miami; Brother-in-law, Egon Schackmann; Nieces: Christina Olivas (Elesvan);
Frances Molina; Lupe Molina; Mary Davenport (Stephen); Anna Stoner (Randy); Nephews: Joe Molina; Hans Schackmann (Angie); Eduard Schackmann (Diane); Agustin Molina, III (Delia); Myron Dittert (whom she loved like a son); Special friend, Laura Herr; Great niece,
Mandy Medina (Vince); Great nephew, William Pfeffer (Brittany); loving pet, Chiquita; Great-great niece, Logan Medina (who always brought a smile to her face);Great-great nephew, Parker Cox. Also, numerous other great nieces, nephews, and their children.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Agustin and Benita Molina; Husband, Robert William Lorenzen; Sisters: Cristina Martinez; Paula Schackmann; Brothers: Tony Molina; Jimmy Molina; Simon Molina; Martin Molina; Nephews: Paul Molina; Chon Molina; Vincent
Molina; Jason Molina; Johnny Martinez; Tony Martinez; and Blas (Ricky) Martinez; and loving pet, Bear.
A Private Celebration of Life service for Felipa Molina Lorenzen will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at her residence in Cat Spring, Texas.
