Thank you

On behalf of all of us at The Association of Former Students, thank you for making a difference for the Aggie Network and helping us surpass our goal on Pass It Back Day.

Pass It Back Day is The Association's annual day of giving, a 24-hour period to show the amazing power of the Aggie Network, to celebrate everything that it means to be an Aggie, and to remember that our experiences were made possible by former students who went before us, providing leadership and financial support so that we could experience Aggieland to its fullest.

The goal for Pass It Back Day 2019 was to reach gifts from 1,876 donors, a number selected in honor of the year that Texas A&M opened its doors, in a 24-hour period. After counting and counting again, the final tally showed that dedicated Aggies more than doubled that goal, making 4,205 gifts on Nov. 19, totaling $415,804.43 for the benefit of Aggies everywhere.

Allison Seibert '11, director of annual giving said: "We are continually amazed by the generosity of the Aggie Network. Because of your gift on Pass It Back Day, The Association will have the resources to provide support for Texas A&M and Texas Aggies through scholarships, student organization funding, faculty/staff awards, and much more. Thank you to the Aggie Network for stepping up to make a difference in the lives of thousands of Aggies!"

For the first time this year, a number of challenges offered matching funds, generously provided by our Board of Directors, to even further increase the impact of Aggies' gifts.

  • For each state from which a gift was made, an additional $100 was given. Gifts came in from all 50 for a $5,000 impact!
  • For every recipient of an Association scholarship that was anonymously sponsored to the Century Club for $25 was matched, totaling 1,424 sponsored!
  • Twelve stuffed Reveilles were hidden around campus and each student who found one and turned it in was sponsored to the Century Club!
  • The six largest Texas A&M Clubs competed to see which could garner the most support for Pass It Back Day, with the Dallas A&M Club coming out on top!
  • For the Class Power Hour Challenge from noon to 1 p.m., the Class that had the most gifts at the end would have additional funds added. The Class of '88 was victorious, making $6,968.58 in gifts, which were doubled to a total impact of $13,937.16!
  • To finish strong, in the final two hours, each gift that was made was matched at $100, for an additional impact of $1,230!

All Pass It Back Day gifts, as well as all other gifts made to The Association, count toward Texas A&M's $4 billion comprehensive campaign, which is the largest fundraising endeavor ever undertaken in Texas. The Lead by Example campaign is a joint effort of Texas A&M University, the Texas A&M Foundation, the 12th Man Foundation, The Association of Former Students and the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation.

The Association of Former Students is proud to support programs, provide resources and cultivate experiences for the Aggie Network. To make your 2019 gift, visit tx.ag/Give.
