Aggies Of Texas Air Guard To Fly Over Kyle For UTSA Game

Skies over Kyle Field will rumble Saturday with a C-130H flown by Aggies from the 136th Airlift Wing, Texas Air National Guard!

The C-130H transport aircraft can carry a 42,000-pound payload; the 136th Airlift Wing (based in Fort Worth) has flown C-130s in support of Operations Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and New Dawn and relief efforts for hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Wilma, Gustav, Ike, Harvey and Irma.

  • Pilot: Lt. Col. Brian Harper ’98 (A&M Corps Squadron 5 commander)
  • Pilot: Lt. Col. Kurt Anderson ’01 (A&M Corps Squadron 12)
  • Pilot: Lt. Col. Brian Kriss ’01 (A&M McInnis Hall)
  • Pilot: Maj. David Westfall ’01
  • Pilot: Capt. Matthew McBride ’11 (A&M Sailing Team)
  • Navigator: Maj. Steven Strube ’08 (A&M Corps Squadron 16; Ross Volunteers; AOLP)
  • Flight surgeon: Col. Ralph Walsh ’88
  • Flight surgeon: Lt. Col. George Gibson (professor, Texas A&M College of Medicine)
  • Flight engineer: Tech. Sgt. David Bailey
  • Loadmaster: Tech. Sgt. Charles Cain III

Saturday's flyover is set to take place at 10:49 a.m.; visit tx.ag/gamedaytimeline for a timeline of gameday events, and be sure to make your gameday home base at the Williams Alumni Center, where admission to the All-Aggie Tailgate (presented by C.C. Creations) is free, indoor seating is plentiful and the Aggie game will play on the video wall.
