Marian A. Jamieson
October 12, 1957 - August 14, 2019
Marian Agnes Jamieson, 61 passed away August 14 with her husband David Ekas at her side. Born in Wayne, New Jersey, relocating to Houston in 1967, her family settled in the Wilchester area of Houston where she attended Westchester High School. After graduation
in 1975, Marian proudly attended Texas A&M University achieving her Nuclear Engineering and Math Degree. While working, she also attended the University of Houston receiving her MS Petroleum Engineering degree and her MBA. She married David Ekas on November
21, 1992. Marian worked at Union Texas Petroleum, Compaq, HP, Bluecoat and Symantec. While an accomplished professional, Marian was most devoted to her family, her friends and her faith, attending Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Houston. Marian loved sewing,
scrapbooking and having everyone visit their lake house for fun holiday weekends.
Marian is survived by her husband David & son Miller Ekas, her siblings: Patrick (wife Gina), Peggy (daughters Monica & Jennifer), Clare, Thomas, Brian (wife Cindy, children Kimberly & Kyle), Dot (husband Jim Frankovich & son Andrew), Bubba (wife Karin & daughters
Hannah & Cami) and her niece Angela (husband Joel Mora & son Tripp). Marian was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy & Lawrence Jamieson.
Services will be held on Saturday August 17, 2019 at 2 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home 101 West Decherd Street Franklin Texas. Burial will follow in the New Baden Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
