W.B. "Beeler" Owen
September 17, 1928 - July 18, 2019

William Beeler Owen was the sixth son born to Robert Owen and Lucy Eva Oliver Owen in Barton Chapel on September 17,1928. He moved to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 18, 2019 in Jacksboro, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his son, Cody and his wife of 67 years, Dorotha Graves Owen.
Survivors include his sister in law, Ginny Owen of Abilene, Texas. His three daughters and their spouses, Belinda Renicks and David of Bryson; Judy Bush and Bruce of Llano; Sue Smith and Roger of Graham; ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
W.B. graduated from Jacksboro High School; Tarleton; Texas A&M University and received a Master's Degree from Abilene Christian.
He taught Vocational Agriculture for thirty three years. He taught in Oklaunion, Throckmorton, Breckenridge and Jacksboro. He received many awards as a teacher. He received an Honorary American Farmer Degree, a national honor.
He was very active n Farm Bureau, Breckenridge Rotary Club, Jacksboro Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, Jacksboro Museum and First United Methodist Church.
