Send In Artifacts As Family Weekend Celebrates 100 Years

From Texas A&M New Student & Family Programs:

This spring, Texas A&M will celebrate 100 years of Family Weekend, which you may remember as Parents’ Weekend, Open House, Mother’s Day, etc.

Family Weekend began as an open house in 1919 that allowed current students to welcome their families to campus. This weekend has evolved over the course of 100 years and coincides with beloved traditions such as Final Review, Aggie Ring Day and more.

To commemorate the event's 100th anniversary, New Student & Family Programs is seeking photos, t-shirts, flyers, programs and other artifacts from previous Family or Parents’ Weekends to be displayed in a “reflections display” during this year's event, April 12-14.

Email New Student & Family Programs at AggieFamilies@tamu.edu with the items you would like to include to help show the history of this long-standing Aggie tradition. More information is available here.

Through generous gifts to The Association, we are able to be HERE for Aggies during their days as students and former students, THERE for Aggies as they make their way around the world and EVERYWHERE that the Aggie Network needs us to be. Visit tx.ag/give to make a gift.
