Muster Postcards Going Out Soon; Update Your Contact Info

Susan "Sue" Owen '94 January 16, 2019 12:35 PM updated: January 2, 2020 1:25 PM

More than 250,000 postcards will be sent out soon by The Association inviting Aggies to local Musters.

Update your physical address in January at tx.ag/profile and you might get one!

Based on your ZIP code in the former student database, if there is a Muster near you, an invitation should come your way via email or post. Invitations will start going out soon to more than 300 Musters. Meet other Aggies, whether you’re new to town or a longtime resident!

An army of hundreds of Aggie volunteers makes these events happen, all across Texas and worldwide.

You can help out or even host a Muster yourself. Learn more at tx.ag/MusterVolunteer

Local Musters can be friendly and informal, including a social aspect as well as the Roll Call for the Absent.

That’s in keeping with the Texas Aggie’s call in 1923: “If there is an A&M man in one hundred miles of you, you are expected to get together, eat a little, sup a little and live over the days you spent at the A. and M. College of Texas.”

Some A&M Clubs elect their officers for the year at their Muster. Or they may present scholarships to new Aggies, announce upcoming events and more.

Where will an Aggie’s name be called?

Each Muster uses a different list. Here’s how to make certain their name is listed and you are in a place where it will be called: tx.ag/WhichMuster. Please help out any friends and family who need this knowledge this year!

Add a name to the Muster Roll

The list is updated daily, year-round. Here is how you can submit a name: tx.ag/AddAName.

A Muster may be closer than you think!

As April 21 approaches, volunteers will keep adding local Musters to the map at tx.ag/FindAMuster. If you're looking at the map in November, December or January, you may not see many listed yet — but try clicking to see where Musters were held last year. If there was one near you last year, odds are good it will happen again!

By March and early April, most Muster chairs have locked down a location, and hundreds of Musters will be on the map.

Each entry has the address, date/time and Muster chair contact information. (If you're hosting a Muster, you can get it onto the map by registering it here.)

Gifts made to The Association of Former Students provide Muster services such as the Speakers Bureau, Muster packets mailed to chairs, daily updating of the Worldwide Roll and more. Add your support at tx.ag/give.
