Susan "Sue" Owen '94 November 5, 2018 12:39 PM updated: November 15, 2018 8:25 AM

This weekend, Nov. 9-11, marks the ninth annual Aggie Big Kick It, the Black Former Student Network's 2018 reunion.

Nearly 200 Aggies came to BKI events in 2017, and 300 are expected this year, said founder Shannan E. Johnson ’04

The BFSN is a chartered constituent network of The Association of Former Students that was formed in 2001. Their Big Kick It committee and its student BKI committee are coordinating not only a weekend full of homecoming-like events, but chances for students to connect throughout this week leading up to Big Kick It.

This year’s BFSN Big Kick It committee includes Johnson, chair Raisha Smith ’13, Tracy Petry ’91, former co-chair Reggie Hendrix ’00, Brian Bolden ’09, Christal-Joy Turner ’14, Crys-chelle Tate ’17 and Dede Nwanguma ’19

The weekend’s main events are a Friday night block party with a DJ in Rudder Plaza, a catered tailgate and game-watch Saturday at The Association, and a networking brunch on Sunday. Get details at the website, on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram
