Synwolt, Marq Dean

January 30, 1956 - October 11, 2018

Marq Dean Synwolt laid down his sword on Thursday, October 11th after a long and relentless fight against brain cancer. Private family services are being planned for a future date.

Marq was born in Madisonville on January 30th, 1956, where he resided with his older brother, mother and father. He excelled in golf while at Madisonville High School, graduated from Texas A&M University in 1979 and moved to Houston, where he met the love of his life, Natalie.

He worked for Linbeck Construction for 21 years before going to work for Madison Construction, where he worked for 18 years to have projects closer to his family in College Station. Notable projects he supervised were the St. Joseph Cancer Center and early expansions to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan, the historic Brown Building in Austin, the Miramont Country Club and Golf Course, and Momentum Plaza. His crowning achievement was the family he built with his lovely wife of 35 years and the four sons he brought into this world with their union.

Marq Synwolt is survived by his wife, Natalie; and their children, Spencer, Thomas and Cindy, Ransom, Wyatt; their grandsons, Aiden and Christopher; and his brother, Rich.

Marq will be sorely missed by his beloved family and many friends
