Myles Garrett '18 Hosts 'Jurassic World' In Aggieland

Susan "Sue" Owen '94 June 22, 2018 10:47 AM updated: June 26, 2018 9:07 AM

Noted dinosaur enthusiast Myles Garrett ’18 is hosting a screening of “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” at the Cinemark in College Station tonight, June 22.

With entry starting at 6 p.m., the first 100 fans there who can answer “two questions about Jurassic Park” get to watch the film with Garrett, he tweeted.

Garrett was the No. 1 NFL draft pick in 2017 and in his first year playing defensive end for the Cleveland Browns, he tied for second in sacks among NFL rookies, despite missing four games because of an ankle sprain.

But as Aggies know, he also loves poetry and prehistoric giant reptiles.

In 2016, he described his five favorite dinosaurs for the Bryan-College Station Eagle: “Jurassic Talk: Myles Garrett’s top five dinosaurs.” His own No. 1 pick is "unknown, sort of. Has a big sail. It's the largest quadruped. It’s fast. It’s kind of adaptable; it could go on water and land." Can you guess?

Here’s KBTX’s story about tonight’s screening. Good luck, Ags!
