The Aggie Real Estate Network is holding its annual conference July 19-21 in Frisco.
The Aggie Real Estate Network is holding its annual conference July 19-21 in Frisco.

Registration is open for the annual conference of the Aggie Real Estate Network, a chartered Constituent Network with The Association of Former Students. The conference is set July 19-21 in Frisco and aims to reconnect former students in real estate programs and other Aggies working in real estate, said Hannah Palmer ’12, AREN secretary.

“As industry leaders and participants, we invite [Aggies working in real estate] to share their knowledge and network with their peers, while enabling AREN to provide scholarships to current students and support the real estate programs at Texas A&M,” she said.

Events on tap include a happy hour, a golf tournament, a pool party, a private tour of The Star, the world headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys, and networking opportunities.

“[The conference provides] new business relationships, the ability to catch up with old friends, an update on Texas and local markets, and a further cultivated Aggie Network of commercial real estate individuals,” Palmer said of why Aggies should make plans to attend.

The golf tournament, held at 8:30 a.m. on July 21 at The Trails of Frisco Golf Club, is the 10th fundraiser of its kind and benefits students of real estate at Mays Business School. It is 4-player scramble format and includes prizes, both breakfast and lunch, and more.

Registration is open and available here. Both former and current students are encouraged to attend.

“We love having students and it’s a great opportunity for them,” Palmer said. “[As a matter of fact], my first conference was as a grad student and I didn’t know a soul; this July will be my eighth!”

In addition to this annual conference, AREN holds various regional networking events like happy hours and lunch-and-learns. Follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

The Association organizes and facilitates a bevy of events and programs for former students to keep Aggies engaged after they've graduated, including Class programs, Reunions, Clubs and Constituent Networks. This is only possible with the support of the Aggie Network. Visit tx.ag/give to make a gift.
