Susan "Sue" Owen '94 April 6, 2018 6:12 PM updated: April 11, 2018 12:20 PM

April 13-15 will be busy in Aggieland! Here’s a quick guide to just a few of the larger campus events — find a full schedule at http://familyweekend.tamu.edu/events and a FAQ on the Maroon & White game at tx.ag/MWG2018FAQ.

Some A&M former students you might recognize are taking part in a special flag football game Saturday during halftime of the A&M team’s spring game, including Johnny Manziel ’15, Dat Nguyen ’98, Bucky Richardson ’92, Quentin Coryatt ’92, Ray Mickens ’96 and Jacob Green ’80. Details below!

Parking information is here; under “Family Weekend/Maroon & White Game,” you can pre-pay for a spot.

  • At Ring Days on Friday (9:45 a.m.-8 p.m.) inside the Hall of Champions at Kyle Field and Saturday (9 a.m.-noon) at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center, some 40,000 Aggies and family will pass through as The Association of Former Students delivers 6,600 Aggie Rings to happy seniors. Watch for parking restrictions and road closures around the building. If you are coming to Ring Day, learn about the free shuttles and more at tx.ag/AggieRingDay.
  • Aggie Moms Boutique is Friday (10 a.m.-5 p.m.) and Saturday (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) on the second floor of the MSC. Shop an amazing array of Aggie crafts from Aggie Moms’ Clubs.
  • Corps of Cadets review at 5:30 p.m. Friday on Simpson Drill Field.
  • 10 p.m. Yell Practice in Kyle Field on Friday with the yell leaders and Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band. Gates open at 8:30.
  • Fish Drill Team and Ross Volunteers demonstration Saturday on Simpson Drill Field; FDT at 12:45 p.m., RVs at 1:30 p.m.

Many more Family Weekend events are listed here.

Maroon & White Game

Maroon & White Spring Football Game on Saturday with Legends Game (see roster) at halftime. Kyle Field gates open 3 p.m.; kickoff is 4 p.m. No tickets required except in the premium area (suites, clubs and loge).

Clear bag policy in effect.

Admission is free for this first chance to see new head coach Jimbo Fisher on the Texas A&M sidelines. The Legends flag football game at halftime will feature Johnny Manziel ’15 and many more. This Maroon & White game, unusually, will be played like a conventional game with traditional scoring and no scripting of plays.

After the game, fans will be able to walk down onto Kyle Field. During the game, concession stands will be open, offering limited food and beverage options.

Tailgate spots are not available until Saturday morning; the Friday “land grab” won’t be in effect.

Kids’ Yell will be at 2:45 p.m. on the east side of Kyle.
