Through his deployment as an ensign in the U.S. Navy, Vipashyin Reddy '16 has been all over the world, and he has taken his Aggie Ring with him.
"When I decided to attend Texas A&M in the fall of 2012 I really didn't know what I was in for.
My best friend's father went there, and I knew he was the type of person I wanted to be more like, so I said, 'Heck, why not?'
"Five years later I have been blessed with opportunities I could not have even imagined. I studied abroad in Qatar, twice interned for Anadarko Petroleum, graduated cum laude with a B.S. in chemical engineering in May of 2016, and now have the distinct privilege to serve my country as an officer in the United States Navy!
"Through these opportunities I was -- and still am -- fortunate enough to travel to many different parts of the world and have proudly taken my Ring and Aggie Spirit with me wherever I went!
"Lastly, it is with a heavy heart that I say I no longer have my Aggie Ring. Sadly it was knocked off in an unlikely fashion two months ago and I have begun to lose hope on its return. Hopefully sometime in the near future I will have the means to afford a new one, but until that time I hope you can share these photos -- and the many others I have -- with our Aggie family so they can feel and see how strong we are together!"
