Century Club Impact Moment - Maroon Out

Scot Walker '90 November 10, 2017 11:48 AM updated: November 10, 2017 4:08 PM

The Association of Former Students is excited to be a part of the Game Day experience in Kyle Field through the Century Club Impact Moment, featured at halftime of every home game.

At the Auburn game on Nov. 4, we featured the 20th anniversary of Maroon Out.

In 1998, a simple shirt sparked the start of a tradition that has spanned nearly two decades. Now more than just a shirt, Maroon Out is a staple of the Aggie experience and a way for Aggies to come together and support one another, Aggie football and Texas A&M for generations to come.

Along the way, The Association of Former Students has been proud to support the student organization known as Maroon Out in their efforts to make an impact on the student body.

And this year is no different. Proceeds from shirt sales will be divided up and allocated to each Class currently on campus and to the Class Councils endowment to support traditions like Ring Dance, Elephant Walk and an Aggie Rings for Veterans fund.

You can read much more about the origins and impact of Maroon Out in this story by Holly Rine '16.

The Association of Former Students works continuously to promote the university and the Aggie Spirit, to support our revered traditions, to strengthen the bonds of the Aggie Network and to support the student body. Our work is only possible because of the generous support of tens of thousands of individual donors.

To learn more about becoming a donor to The Association and and how you can help us pass back the experiences that make Texas A&M unique by paying it forward to future generations, please visit AggieNetwork.com/giving/.
