Texas A&M again ranks first in the state and among the top 25 public institutions nationally for highest-earning graduates, according to a recent survey reported by Forbes magazine.

Aggie graduates at mid-career earn an average of $99,700 annually, placing Texas A&M 18th. The only other Texas institution in the ranking is the University of Texas at Austin, placing last in the list of the top 25 public universities, with alumni salaries averaging $96,400 annually.

“This survey and many others affirm that a Texas A&M education is an investment that pays off financially as well as in so many other ways,” said Texas A&M President Michael K. Young. “More of our students graduate on time compared to their peers, and they leave with less college-related debt and with the knowledge and skills that employers prize. We are proud of our reputation for producing leaders.”

The 1,800-student SUNY Maritime College tops the list, with average graduate earnings of $144,000 annually. Military institutions and the United States Merchant Marine Academy round out the top five, and the rest of the list is dominated by engineering and tech powerhouses, including eight in California.
