William Guynes, Jr. '60 was reunited with his senior boots after almost 60 years thanks to Kelly Nix '87, whose mother and sister purchased them in a resale shop in Bryan about 15 years ago.
The Bryan-College Station Eagle has a story by Josh McCormack about Guynes, Nix and the long-lost boots:
While the boots no longer fit, he said he is happy to have them back for the memories they represent.
"I think my time at A&M was the most fortunate thing that ever happened to me," Guynes said. "I don't want to sound too proud of myself, but I think I turned out pretty well, and I don't think I would have been the same person had I not gone to A&M."
