June 23, 1933 - June 3, 2017

Wanda (Freeman) Tedrick, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Boy Scout Leader, 4-H leader, volunteer teacher and animal lover, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life at 6 p.m. Friday, June 23, in the Fellowship Hall of The First Christian Church, 900 S. Ennis St., Bryan, Texas. Her final resting place will be in her childhood hometown of Londonderry, Ohio.

Born June 23, 1933 in Barberton, Ohio, Wanda was the second child of John Clifton "Cliff" Freeman and Anna Lee Holbert Freeman. She was the 1951 Valedictorian of Madison High School, Ohio and a graduate of the Texas A&M class of '80. In 1981 she received the highest BSA award for a Scout Leader, the Silver Beaver Award, in recognition of her dedication to the Scouting program in Bryan-College Station and the summer day camp program for younger scouts. Through her legacy of unconditional love, she instilled in all of her children and her students to "accept who you are, and be who you want to be."

She was preceded in death by her brother, 2Lt Clifton Rozzell Freeman, US Army Air Corp.; her sister, Joan Mae Freeman Nattress; a nephew, Norman Nattress; and an infant niece.

Wanda is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Dr. William "Bill" Tedrick. Her legacy of love lives on in her children, Maresa and partner, John, Melinda and husband, Jimmie, Charles and wife, Tammy, Ben and wife, Melissa, John David and wife, Kathy and, Eric and wife, Kathryn; "Grammy" will be dearly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her granddaughter, Amanda Hayhoe-Kruger and husband, Greg, their daughter, Katie; grandson, Michael Hayhoe and wife, Sabrina and their daughters, Trisha and Sofia; grandson, Cade Leitko and wife, Erin, and their children, Garrett and Ellie; grandson, Austin Leitko and wife, Kara, and their daughters, Hadley, and Everly, due July 2017; grandson, Trey Davis and wife, Aimee, and their sons, Brayton and Anson; grandson, Spencer Davis and wife, Kat and their children, Charlie and Lily; grandson, Grayson Tedrick and wife, Kirstie; grandson, Harrison Tedrick; grandson, Brandon York; granddaughter, Kasie Tedrick; grandson, J D Tedrick; granddaughter, Paige Tedrick; granddaughter, Tess Tedrick; granddaughter, Grace Tedrick; grandson, Will Tedrick and his daughter, Zoey; grandson, Justin Tedrick; and grandson, Joseph Tedrick; and many other extended family members and friends who held a special place in her heart including, Dennis Leitko, Lauren Powell-Boriskie and John Hayhoe.

The family extends their gratitude and appreciation to Wanda's caregivers, Pam Mitchell, Tannie Mitchell, Kristie Mitchell, Kasharva Rios and Annie Seyfus, who gave her much joy and friendship. Also, special thanks to, Zuma Brinkman, the staffs of Whispering Pines and Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, for their kindness and care during the last weeks of Wanda's journey.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to any organization benefiting children or animals.
