William Roger Ransom (“Bill”) was born October 24, 1926 in Corsicana, Texas to Jack R. Ransom and Elsie Mae (Rankin) Ransom. He died peacefully at home on September 23, 2014. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 60
years, June Ransom; daughter, Vicki Norwood and her husband Gordon Norwood; granddaughter, Dr. Leslie Norwood Blanscet and her husband Jonathan Blanscet; grandson, Blake William Norwood and his fiancée Jaci Giandelone. A veteran of World War II, Bill was in
the Army Air Corps. He graduated from Texas A&M, class of ’48, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a registered professional engineer with the State of Texas and a life member of the IEEE. Bill retired from Westinghouse Electric Corp after 39 years
of service. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff and caregivers of Fresenius Walnut Hill Dialysis and Hospice Plus for their care of Bill. A memorial service will be held at the DFW National Cemetery on October 2 at 11:00 am. In
