Aggieland celebrated summer
commencement and commissioning ceremonies
over the weekend.
Graduation activities were kicked off Thursday when
, Texas A&M's head softball coach, spoke at Texas A&M’s spring commencement convocation. Evans is one of the longest-serving Texas A&M coaches and among the winningest in the nation.
Among the graduating class this summer
were approximately 675 students who received degrees at the
advanced level, including about 270 receiving doctorates. Commencement also includedthe commissioning of 24 cadets into the Army, six cadets into the Marines and two cadets into the Air Force.
Texas A&M University at Galveston
held its summer 2013 commencement at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Also part of last week’s graduation celebrations were The Association of Former Students’ Drive Thru & Get Your Former Student Decal and The Next Tradition Graduation Celebration
