Teri Lynn Simmons of Frisco, Texas passed away April 23, 2013 at the age of 42, after a ten year battle with breast cancer. She was born June 30, 1970 to Thomas and Maralee (Buchenberger) Wilmotte at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas. Teri graduated from Judson High School in Converse, Texas. She received a Bachelors degree from Texas A&M University in 1992, graduating cum laude. Teri married Mark A. Simmons on March 11, 2000 in the Randolph Air Force Base Chapel in Universal City, Texas. She was a Certified Public Accountant for Lennox International and a member of Faithbridge Presbyterian Church in Frisco.
Teri is survived by her husband, Mark Simmons of Frisco, Texas; son, Shayne Simmons of Frisco, Texas; parents, Maralee and Tom Wilmotte of Universal City, Texas; brother, David Wilmotte and wife Peggy of Prosper, Texas; niece and nephew, Michael and Maddie Wilmotte.
A funeral service will be held Friday, April 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas with Rev. Chris Carson officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
