Roger Moehlman

Roger Moehlman, 96, of Brenham, formerly of Caldwell and Pasadena, went to be with his Lord on Friday, February 3, 2012, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, with visitation beginning at
12 p.m. at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan. Burial will be in Bryan City Cemetery.
Roger was born in Bryan, to Heinrich Herman Wilhelm and Millie Caroline Henriette Friederike Bosse Moehlman on December 7, 1915. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Bryan. Roger graduated from Texas A&M College with degrees in Civil and Sanitary
Engineering. He met and married his wife Louise York in Texarkana, Texas. They moved around the state while he was working as a Sanitary Engineer for the Texas State Health Department. They settled in Pasadena when he began working for the Harris County Health
Department also as a Sanitary Engineer. They had two children, Lou Anne and Lewis. After 35 years with the county Roger retired and moved to Caldwell. He and Louise loved dancing and rarely missed a dance. After Louise, his wife of 60 years, passed away he
married a good friend he met at a dance, Shirley Huebner Klaus. They continued to dance right up to the very end!
Roger was a member of the Caldwell Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon and elder, member of several engineering societies, Texas A&M Century Club, and a former member of the Caldwell Rotary Club.
Preceding him in death are his parents, his first wife, a grandson, and four brothers.
He is survived by his wife of nine years, Shirley Klaus Moehlman; his daughter, Lou Anne and husband Dale Sinor; son, Lewis Moehlman; five grandsons; nine great-grandchildren; stepdaughter, Elizabeth and husband Robert Nelson; stepson, Timothy and wife Alice
Klaus; two step granddaughters and two step great-granddaughters. He is also survived by one brother, David and wife Jean Moehlman; sister-in-law, Rosalie Moehlman and numerous nieces, nephews and good friends.
Pall bearers will be Wesley, Keith and Bradley Sinor, Randy and Scott Moehlman, Tim Klaus and Robert Nelson.
