Hey, Ags! On Friday, Sept. 3, as part of the national celebration of
College Colors Day, get ready to show your Aggie Spirit by wearing maroon and white!
Whether you're at work, at home, at school or on vacation, wear maroon and white on Sept. 3 to prepare for the football season opener against Stephen F. Austin.
The Association would love to see pictures of the Aggies in your office dressed in maroon. Make sure to take a few pictures and send them in to
AggieNetwork@AggieNetwork.com.
College Colors Day is an annual celebration that started in 2005 meant to promote the overall college experience by encouraging people across America to wear apparel featuring the school colors of their favorite college or university.
According to its
website, thousands of organizations and millions of individuals participate annually by donning their team colors and sharing in the college spirit with friends and colleagues.
College Colors Day coincides with “back to school” and the kick-off of intercollegiate athletics, and according to its website, "strives to advocate higher education through increased public awareness, and celebrates the achievements of colleges and universities, acknowledging their fundamental importance."
