As precautionary measures are taken to curb the spread of
COVID-19, adjustments are being made to events across our country. Experts at
the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are urging a nationwide halt to
gatherings of more than 50 people for the next eight weeks, citing the risk of
the transmission of COVID-19 virus, and the president on Monday recommended all
Americans avoid gathering in groups larger than 10.
Therefore, your Club leadership has made the decision to follow the lead of campus Muster and cancel the 2020 Bandera County Aggie Muster in order to protect our Bandera County Aggies. We were really looking forward to Muster this year and had a great venue and program planned. Please be assured that the
name of every Aggie whose death was reported since the last Muster, including
those on your local roll, will be called and answered with “Here” on April 21. Since 2018, The Association
of Former Students has organized a live reading each April of the entire year’s
roll, more than 1,600 names broadcast and livestreamed from the Clayton W.
Williams, Jr. Alumni Center. Plans are in motion to ensure that the live
Worldwide Roll Call takes place again this year, so we assure you that every
name will be called on campus again this year.
Stay tuned for possible socials throughout the year and a game watch party or two in the fall.
