In this small Central American democracy kissed by nature, you discover staggering biodiversity in four distinct regions, from cloud forest to rain forest; Central Valley to Pacific Coast.  Your small group of no more than 18 guests begins its 11-day exploration in cosmopolitan San Jose.  Travel through the Central Valley to Poas Volcano National Park, and visit the Doka Coffee Estate.  Explore the Botanical Orchid Garden en route to the Arenal region and magnificent Arenal Volcano.  During your three-night stay, visit a local elementary school, experience the rainforest on a Hanging Bridges walk, and tour Ecocentro Danaus Biological Reserve.  Continue on to the amazingly diverse Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve and its Hummingbird Gallery.  Your tropical journey concludes with a three-night stay at a Guanacaste resort hotel overlooking the Pacific, and a Tempisque River “floating safari.”  Encounter more exceptional biodiversity on an optional 4-day/3-night pre-tour extension to Tortuguero National Park.
