Relive the “Day of Days” with fellow Aggies for the 70th Anniversary and Commemoration of D-Day in 2014. WWII London, intelligence command center at Bletchley park and Eisenhower’s HQ where the invasion became a reality. Land on the beaches of Normandy, study the paratrooper drop zones and march in the Allied footsteps across France into Belgium and Luxembourg. Your historian will lead the group through the American cemetery at Omaha Beach, explore the Ardennes woods and foxholes near Bastogne and the Battle of the Bulge and visit Gen. Patton’s grave in Luxembourg.
The Commemoration ceremonies for the 70th Anniversary in Normandy will be unforgettable as they evoke the vivid images of the young soldiers who came ashore to liberate Europe from the Nazis. The veterans who attend will share their stories and evoke the glorious memories of the Greatest Generation. The tour is May 30- June 13, 2014.
