Patricia DeWare Head ’82 graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in management. With her Endowed Diamond Century Club gift, Patricia wanted to recognize two very special Aggies, Charles Allen DeWare, Sr. ’09 and Charles Allen DeWare, Jr. ’37. Charles Sr. lettered in football as well as in baseball. Charles was President of The Association of Former Students and was a founding member of the “T” Association. Charles Jr. lettered in football and was named All Southwest Conference Center. The DeWares’ were the first father/son lettermen, football captains and All Conference Football recipients.

Kenneth “Kennie” Nowlin ’82 graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in agricultural economics. As a third generation Aggie, Nowlin was no stranger to the rich history and traditions of the university and he learned the meaning of the Aggie Spirit at a very young age.
From Texas A&M, he began a long standing career in the banking industry. Nowlin joined Citizens National Bank in 1989 and remained with the institution for almost three decades. He currently serves as the Executive Vice President/CLO and acts as a board member.
Nowlin and his wife, Jennifer, have continued their Aggie legacy in a multitude of ways. One of their children, Anne Elizabeth, better known as “Liza,” is a member of the Class of 2010. The couple are also highly involved in the Hill County A&M Club and are heritage members of the Texas A&M Legacy Society. In the spirit of wanting to help future students and continue their service to the Aggie family, Jennifer and Kennie elected to become members of the Endowed Century Club.

He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Management and in 2000 was part of a new start up healthcare company that currently owns and manages HMO’s in Nashville, Tennessee, Birmingham, Alabama and Houston, Texas.
Texas A&M has always been a part of my life. Growing up with a dad that went to Texas A&M meant many trips to Aggieland to see football games, bonfire, midnight yell practice or any other excuse he could come up with for us to pile into the car and head to College Station. I could not have imagined going to any other school.

David is currently employed with ExxonMobil as a Tax Attorney. Aggieland holds a special place in the hearts of David and Vickie as this is where they met and established life-long friendships. She served as a board member of The Association of Former Students as well as a member of the New York City A&M Club and Aggies on Wall Street.
I have lived the last 18 years in NY and frankly was less in touch with campus news than Texas residents. Slowly my orbit began to include current students, through the Wayne Stark Program and Aggies on Wall Street. Subsequently lecturing on campus I was struck by the commitment of the professors and the eagerness of the students. I have been reminded how wonderful the Aggie experience can be. Nothing can replace that sense of belonging to a group with such strong values.

She ran the Southwest Strategies and North Texas Commercial businesses for Bank of America from 2003 to 2006 and served as President of Bank of America, Dallas during that time. From 2000 to 2003, she held various roles in Private Banking and Asset Management including Dallas Market Executive, Southwest Region President, National Trust Executive, and Asset Management Group Risk Executive. As Managing Director from 1998 until 2000, she was responsible for the Southwest Diversified Industries Group for Banc of America Securities. Kathleen had responsibility for Cross Border Structured Finance and Project Finance origination activities in the Western U.S. from 1991 until 1998. During the ten years prior to 1991, she held lending and management positions within the Corporate Bank with various assignments managing corporate clients in the Southwest, Midwest and West Coast regions. Kathleen is active in her community, currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Medical Center and the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Southwestern Medical Foundation and a member of the Board for the Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations. A recipient of the Tyrus R.Timm Honor Registry Award, she serves on the Advisory Council for the Center for International Business Studies. At home, Pitts led worship in his church for eight years and has coached youth sports in football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and golf. In his professional life, Pitts has been vice president at Pitts Energy Co. in Midland, Texas since 1984. Their three children are all Aggies: Jennifer Kaspar ’11, Nicholas Pitts ’15, and Sara Pitts ’17.
