Heath is an active supporter of the Texas A&M Leadershape program, is on the Look College of Engineering Advisory Board and is involved with several leadership programs within the MSC.

I have many great memories from Texas A&M, but some of my fondest were working with the many awesome people in MSC Town Hall putting on great concerts for the university, and hosting some very special guests while there were on campus, Bob Hope, Red Skelton and others. I also had great experiences working on the bonfires through the years. But mostly I had several roommates and buddies who all played lots of intramural sports together and to this day, I still laugh thinking about all the great times we had playing softball, football, and of course, having beers at the Chicken when we were done.

Our family’s Endowed Diamond Century Club membership is dedicated to, and in honor of, my father, Samuel L. Neal, Jr. and our grandfather, Samuel L. Neal, Sr. Although the depression kept him from leaving the family farm to attend Texas A&M, our grandfather received his masters degree in sociology from Texas A&M in 1950, worked for the A&M Agricultural Extension Service for over 30 years and proudly wore his Aggie Ring everyday of his life. He was the first of three generations bearing his name to graduate from Texas A&M, and was so proud of his two grandchildren, who followed him to Texas A&M. He passed away in 1976. Texas A&M is a great part of our family, and keeping the “Aggie Spirit” alive for generations to come through his seven great-grandchildren is a part of our heritage.

Michael R. Niklasch ’84 graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering. The excellent education I received in the conservative environment of Aggieland helped to mold me into what I am today. The doors that my A&M degree opened were countless. It is important for me to give back to A&M because I would like A&M to continue its longstanding path of excellence in molding young men and women into educated and productive adults that society can, and is, proud of.

The impact that Texas A&M has had on my life is enormous. The education I received and the friendships I developed are priceless. Over the past 20 years, I have encountered "Aggies" all over the world and have always experienced a strong bond and a level of instant camaraderie that is an envy to all non-Aggies. This, coupled with the long-lasting friendships that I developed at Texas A&M, has had a positive impact in my life socially and professionally. I hope this gift will enable others to have the same opportunities I had.
