Matthew Lawrence graduated in 1981 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He went to work for Exxon Mobil after graduation and is the mechanical manager at Exxon’s Baytown complex. Lawrence served on the Board of Directors for United Way of Greater Baytown Area and Chambers County from 2013 to 2016.
Lisa Lawrence also graduated in 1981, earning her bachelor’s in chemical engineering. She worked at Chevron Chemical from 1981 to 1997 and then at Westlake Chemical until 2004. She has been the president of Humble Area Aggie Moms since 2014.
Their daughter, Michelle, graduated in 2016.

William W. Latimer, Jr. ’61 graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. Latimer began his investment company in 1971 as President of Latimer Enterprises, Inc. Since 1988, he has served as the President for the Gulf Coast Water Authority since 1988. He was a City of Dickinson Councilman from 1999 until 2002 and served on the board of managers for S&L Cogeneration Co. from 1990 until 1996.
My education and experience at Texas A&M was one of the most important times in my life. Texas A&M is very important to me. Both my children, Craig ’84 and Leslie ’87, graduated from A&M and I wanted to give something in return to this outstanding university. I am proud to be an Aggie — it’s such a special place, like none other.

Walter Lasley served as President of Walter Lasely & Sons, Inc., which specializes in farming and cattle feeding, and President of A&I Parts, Inc., an automotive, industrial and agricultural supplier. Lasley was the Vice Chairman of the Texas A&M College of Agriculture Development Council and was awarded the Texas Panhandle Aggie of the Year in 1991.

Courtney Landry ’04 received both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Texas A&M University. She instantly felt at home at Texas A&M when she visited the campus for the first time and knew she wanted to be here. One of her strongest memories from being a student at Texas A&M is from her freshman year when the entire campus gathered on the one-year anniversary of the bonfire collapse to honor those who had passed away. She remembers “the camaraderie and the true meaning of the Aggie Spirit” from that evening.
Texas A&M has always been a place where Jeremy Landry could visit and feel a bond to his grandfather, Clyde L. Landry ’50, who passed away before Jeremy was born. Their Endowed Century Club gift is a way for Jeremy to give back to a school that meant a lot to his grandfather. Jeremy and Courtney Landry want future classes to share in what it means to be an Aggie and to be able to make and treasure their own memories.

John F. Landgraf ’73 studied civil engineering at Texas A&M, where his fondest memories are of the lifelong friendships formed with his fellow cadets. Landgraf was a Ross Volunteer and a member of Parsons Mounted Cavalry. He was also in the Student Government Association. Landgraf described his time at A&M as a rewarding experience that has helped him to be a better person.
His children are all A&M graduates: Mary Landgraf Krebs ’00, Brooks Landgraf ’03 and Elizabeth Landgraf Cliborn ’06.
He said he believes in giving back to his university and to his community, and he believes in what The Association of Former Students does for the good of Texas A&M. Those beliefs inspired him to become an Endowed Century Club member.

Jennifer and Ryan Lamothe were inspired to give back to Texas A&M by their involvement as students. Jennifer was a T-Camp counselor and in the Management Society. Ryan volunteered at Bonfire and was a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. They both played intramural sports, enjoyed Aggie baseball and football, and participated in traditions like Midnight Yell Practice and Silver Taps. “All these traditions created treasured memories of our time at Texas A&M. We are eager to see them continue and thrive for future generations,” Jennifer said. The couple appreciates all opportunities to return to Aggieland. “We treasure each opportunity to come back to Texas A&M and watch a sporting event, enjoy the Bush library, eat at some of our favorite restaurants or just walk across campus.” They also understand the power of the Aggie Network. “Whether at work or out and about, whether living in Texas or living overseas, on vacation in the US or anywhere in the world, seeing another Aggie Ring is an instant connection and cause for conversation. You immediately know you have had similar experiences and share common values.” Further they explained, “The Aggie experience is one that will shape the rest of your life, from friendships to business relationships, it will define who you are and how you go through life.”

He used his aerospace industry and computing technology experience to develop information systems at Textron’s 30 divisions and 57 data centers. He also aided in creating a business blueprint to move the corporation into the 21st century.

After 20 years of management experience, Kruger retired from Exxon as Corporate Vice President overseeing worldwide gas operations and supervising Exxon interests in the Middle East. He served as President of The Association of Former Students in 1994, was a Trustee of the Texas A&M Development Foundation and was awarded The Association’s Distinguished Alumni Award.

M. Scott Kraemer is retired from the oil and gas industry after holding numerous positions with Stanolind Oil and Gas (BP) and Champlin Petroleum Company (Anodarko). He graduated from Texas A&M with a B.S. degree in petroleum engineering and graduated from the Institute for Management Development of Business at Northwestern University. Scott received the Dwight Look College of Engineering Outstanding Alumni Honor Award in 1966, and the Texas A&M Department of Petroleum Engineering inducted him into the Petroleum Engineering Academy of Distinguished Graduates.

After receiving his Bachelor's in Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University in May of 1980, Stephen began a 20 year career with Fina Oil & Chemical Company (Total Petrochemicals) in Dallas. Stephen held a variety of management positions in the areas of accounting, logistics, corporate planning, and raw material procurement to name a few. Stephen left Fina in 2000 and joined Triadas (a third party logistics company) as its Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Then in 2002, he joined Southern Garrett, LLC (a methanol distribution company) as its COO & CFO. He and the President sold their majority interest in the company to Southern Chemical Company in July of 2007. Since 2009, he has held the position of COO & CFO of Ethylene Strategies Management, Inc. (a consulting company). Lisa and Stephen have continued to prioritize their support of Texas A&M University through not only their Endowed Century Club membership but also their Endowed 12th Man Foundation membership as well.
Lisa and Stephen were married in 1984 and have 2 children, Andrew and Alexandra '16.

Jim graduated in 1955 with a BS in Engineering. He then went on to work for Union Carbid as the Production Engineer in Texas City and then continued his career as the Project Engineer for Rocketdyne. He then moved to work for Exxon Chemical to serve as a supervisor and then retired as the Manager for Baton Rouge, Houston, Baytown and Saudi Arabia. Jim continues to illustrate the core values of being an Aggie through giving selflessly back. Jim has three children, Mark, Jill '88, and Blake '96.

Benjamin started his professional art career in 1988 by capturing the spirit of Texas A&M while he was a sophomore in Squadron 3 in the Corps of Cadets. His art career began to blossom his senior year when he sold his artwork in the MSC while wearing his senior boots. After completing the corps, he took a couple of victory laps, joined the Aggie Men’s Club and ran his art gallery out of his house.
Upon graduation, he opened the first artist owned gallery in College Station. In 2001, he brought back one of the most important historical buildings in the history of Texas A&M and the city of College Station, the ‘College Station’ train depot. He designed the city treasure to be his gallery, with the exterior as an exact replica of the original 1900 Southern Pacific depot that was destroyed in 1966. He added a 1905 caboose and other important train antiques to give the gallery a true historical feel.
Of all of his accomplishments, he is most excited about how he has been able to promote and benefit Texas A&M and communities through his artwork. For over 20 years his artwork has helped to benefit countless charities and establish an immense amount of scholarships. Giving back is integrated into his very core, something that was established while a student at Texas A&M.
Melissa’s roots in Aggie history also run deep. She is the daughter of Corps Commander Mike Gentry’78 and granddaughter of Band Commander Paul Gentry’55. Benjamin and Melissa were married March 15, 2008.
She is the executive director of the Benjamin Knox Gallery, Framing, and Events, and helps to keep Benjamin in the art studio as much as possible!
