A land formerly known as the Gold Coast is well known as the land of dramatic contrasts and is home to a number of diverse peoples and cultures.

Its craftspeople have a long, rich cultural history to draw from, and their work is thick with that tradition – be it the colorful kente cloth of the Ashanti or any of the stools, icons, beads or baskets you will find in the markets.

Rivaling any territory in West Africa, Ghana’s grassy plains, thick, tropical rainforests, coastal wetlands and spectacular, palm-tree-perforated beaches make for a highly picturesque backdrop. As we travel we will explore natural sites such as the Shai Hills Wildlife Reserve and canopy walkway in Kakum National Park, European forts and UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Cape Coast Castle.

Join us on this special program featuring the many historic sites and cultural experiences of this unique land – Discover Ghana - West Africa.
