    Southern Africa Odyssey

Journey into the heart of Southern Africa to capture the essence of four diverse countries: South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe.  Starting in Cape Town, visit the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet; the Winelands, South Africa’s renowned wine-growing region; and Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned.  Depart for Namibia and the vast Namib Desert with its towering sand dunes rising more than a thousand feet high.  During your stay enjoy breathtaking game drives and walks on a private reserve. Continue to Zimbabwe to experience one of the natural wonders of the world—Victoria Falls.  Take a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, tour the awe-inspiring Falls, and meet with children at a local school. Then travel to Botswana for a full-day excursion to Chobe National Park, home of exceptional bird life and one of Africa’s largest elephant populations. Conclude in Pretoria, the capital, and Soweto, where the seeds of South African freedom took root.
