Full-Time Positions
Systems Administrator The Association of Former Students seeks a highly organized and efficient team player to join our Information Technology team as a Systems Administrator. In this role, you will install and troubleshoot information systems, including first-line desktop support, problem diagnosis and repair for hardware and software, computer installation and imaging, and mobile device support. Good communication skills and teamwork are essential. Specific duties/involvement will include:
- Installation/support for Windows XP/Vista and Mac OSX
- Installation/support for software such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite 3
- Maintenance of server platforms (Windows 2003/2008) involved with end-user systems
- Diagnosing and coordinating repair of all hardware issues (computer, printer, etc)
- Support mobile device (Blackberry, Windows Mobile, and iPhone) deployments
- Oversee introductory and continuing education curriculums for internal staff
This position would also function as a backup to our systems, networking, and security personnel with involvement in overall server support/expansion and network and security troubleshooting.
At minimum, we seek a candidate with an Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience and prefer a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related management field. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1-3 years experience working in a technical support and networking IT environment, with 2-4 years of Windows-based technical desktop support and A+ and/or Network+ certifications preferred.

Graphic Designer (Part-time)
The Association of Former Students is looking for a creative, team-oriented graphic designer to join our Marketing team on a part-time basis (up to 30 hours per week). In this role you will design camera-ready art and manage graphics projects including newsletters, invitations, postcards, brochures, posters, and signage from concept to completion. Must be detail and deadline oriented. Proven experience with Adobe design software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat) is required. Experience with Adobe/Macromedia Flash, HTML and video editing is preferred. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers to achieve design project objectives.
A bachelor’s degree or combination of post-secondary education and graphics training, along with a minimum two years of graphic design work, is required. Knowledge and understanding of Texas A&M traditions is a plus. Candidates selected for interview will be expected to provide a portfolio of their work at the time of interview. Web Developer The Association’s web team is looking for a creative and experienced developer to join our team. Responsibilities primarily include working with the webmaster and departments within The Association to conceptualize, design, and develop web-based tools and applications for AggieNetwork.com. The web developer will work with a variety of content providers and departments and will program using ASP .NET, Visual Basic .NET, SQL, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets, HTML and other common web development tools.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and demonstrate proven skills in the following areas: ASP.NET 1.1 or 2.0, Visual Basic.NET 2003/2005, SQL Server 2000/2005, Web Services, T/SQL, JavaScript, and Advanced HTML design. Photoshop experience and streaming video/audio experience with Macromedia Flash is helpful.
