John Monroe Ray 
September 8, 1971 — February 19, 2023

John Monroe Ray, 51, passed away on February 19, 2023. He was a graduate of Klein Oak High School and Texas A&M University. Following college, he worked as a regional manager for Airborne Express where he lived in San Antonio and Boerne before returning to his home in Spring.

John loved to make people laugh. He could entertain them for hours regaling them with his humorous outlook on otherwise ordinary stories. John was a talented baseball player and athlete. His happiest days were spent on the baseball field or golf course. He loved to fish and hunt. But his greatest passion was his dogs.

He is preceded in death by his father Charles Ray. He is survived by his mother Angela Crawford Ray, his sister Anne Erickson, his brothers Chuck Ray and Jason Ray, many family members and friends, and his beloved Chocolate Lab, Alyssa.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, March 18, at 1:00 at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in Spring, Tx.

Donations in his honor can be made to your local Animal Shelter/ Rescue organization or The American Heart Association.
